Why Homeowners Choose Cedar — And Why Ours Is Built Different

Cedar has been used for fencing for generations because it holds up well outdoors and looks right on residential properties.

The difference isn’t just the material — it’s how the fence is built and installed.

We build all of our cedar panels in-house, or on site. Our cedar fences are framed properly, trimmed cleanly, and installed with long-term durability in mind.

  • Cedar Tongue & Groove Privacy Fencing
Full-privacy cedar fencing with interlocking boards for a clean, solid look and long-term stability.

  • Cedar Semi-Privacy Fencing
A balance of privacy and airflow, often built with evenly spaced 1x4 boards for a refined look.

  • Cedar Picket Fencing
Traditional New England style, updated with modern construction methods for durability.

  • Cedar Split Rail & Post-and-Rail
Classic style with optional welded wire for dogs or pool applications.

  • Cedar Picture Frame with Welded Wire
A clean, modern option commonly used for dog containment and pool fencing.

Cedar Fence Styles We Build

Our cedar fences are built on site using solid framing — not pre-made panels or undersized rails.

Every panel is constructed with full 2x4 back rails. We never sandwich thin 1x4 rails. Any fence over 5 feet tall receives three routed 2x4 rails for added strength and long-term straightness.

Tongue and groove privacy fences are built using 1x4 double V-groove boards, paired with a 1x4 top cap and a front cover board for a clean, finished look. All back rails feature decorative routed edges.

Panels are fastened using 304 stainless steel ring-shank nails and stainless trim head screws. In coastal areas, we upgrade to 316 stainless steel fasteners for added corrosion resistance.

Posts are set using cedar or pressure-treated 5x5 posts, with the option to upgrade gate posts to an internal galvanized steel post, fully boxed and capped in cedar so the steel is hidden from view.

How Our Cedar Fences Are Built

Cedar Gates Built to Match

We build custom cedar gates in house using a floating mortise and tenon joinery — a strong, clean construction method that avoids visible fasteners.

Each tenon is machined from Sipo hardwood, creating an extremely durable connection while keeping the finished gate seamless and refined. No screws or nails are used in the gate construction.

For larger or heavier gates, including driveway-style gates, we offer internal square steel frames that are fully cladded in cedar so the structure remains hidden while providing added strength and long-term stability.

Walk gates, double gates, and custom gate designs are available.

Are We the Right Fit?

We’re a good fit if you care about quality, longevity, and clean craftsmanship. Our projects are custom-built, properly framed, and installed with long-term performance in mind.

We may not be the right fit if you’re shopping strictly on price or looking for store bought fence panels. We focus on building fences and gates the right way — not the fastest or cheapest way.
